Shelley Li
The Shanghai Stuckist
Stuckism is an international art movement based in the UK. It's members are contemporary figurative painters.
The group originates from Medway, near London and was founded by Charles Thomson (photo right) and Billy Childish in 1999. Since then many self-directed groups of painters have set up as Stuckists around the world.
Shelley Li was born and raised in Shanghai, China, but now lives in London, England where she joined the Stuckism art movement. She has exhibited her paintings in their most recent major exhibitions held in 2008 and 2009.
Li is married to Edgeworth Johnstone, one of the London based Stuckists, who introduced her to Stuckism in 2007.
Shelley Li's paintings have sold to various art collectors in the UK and abroad.
